Professional Experience
Dr. Weisgraber is a staff engineer in the Center for Engineered Materials, Manufacturing and Optimization at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory. His research interests in computational physics span a variety of application disciplines, including the onset of turbulence, additive manufacturing, polymer rheology, and microfluidic systems. In 2011, as part of the Flow Rate Technical Group and LLNL Nodal Analysis Team Lead, he received the Department of Energy Secretary's Achievement Award for contributions to flow rate calculations for the Macondo Well in response to the Deepwater Horizon oilrig disaster.
Research Interests
Computational fluid and solid mechanics, numerical optimization, additive manufacturing
