Trevor Steil is a computer scientist within the Informatics Group in the Center for Applied Scientific Computing (CASC) at the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory. Trevor’s research focuses on large-scale graph algorithms and data science on high performance computing systems. This work touches on aspects of algorithm design, communication optimization, and application areas. He is a developer and maintainer on the open source YGM and SaltAtlas projects.

 

Trevor received a B.S. in Mathematics from Michigan State University in 2014 and a Ph.D. in Mathematics from the University of Minnesota in 2020. Trevor’s research in graduate school centered on motion laws for vortices within solutions to the Ginzburg-Landau equations that serve as a model for superconductivity.
