Research Interests

Lucas Snyder started his career at LLNL as a postdoc and currently works as a staff scientist in the Nuclear & Particle Physics group in the Nuclear & Chemical Sciences division. Snyder’s primary research interests are focused on experimental nuclear physics at neutron beams. He is currently a lead member of the fission time projection chamber (fissionTPC) project, the first TPC designed to make neutron-induced fission cross section measurements. His most recent paper focuses on the performance of a micro-mesh gaseous structure (MICROMEGAS)-based TPC in a high-energy neutron beam.
