My research centers on developing laser-based technologies for sensing, analysis, and isotope production. My background includes nonlinear optics, ultrafast spectroscopy, fluorescence microscopy, and computational modeling. At LLNL, my current work spans two areas: atomic vapor laser isotope separation for medical isotope production, and stimulated Raman spectroscopy for detecting trace gases. In previous work, I developed a field-deployable instrument for rapid atmospheric measurements of carbon-14 in carbon dioxide to help distinguish biological from fossil carbon sources.
