Background
Christopher received his AS in machine tool technology from Chabot Community College. His education from Chabot included training in manual and CNC machining operations as well as mechanical design using SolidWorks. He did a six-month apprenticeship as a machinist in 2009 before he found a position in 2010 at a production shop as a quality control inspector and fabrication technician. He joined Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory in 2017 as the mechanical technician for the High Pressure Physics group supporting all aspects of diamond anvil cell and large volume press high pressure and temperature experiments. In 2017, he successfully passed the exam to become certified as a mechanical design professional through Dassault Systèmes (SolidWorks).
