Biography
Bevin Huang is a quantum physicist, working as a staff scientist in the Quantum Coherent Device Physics group at LLNL. Before joining the lab, Bevin’s research focused on understanding and harnessing light-matter interactions in 2D materials for quantum technologies. Key highlights include the discovery of magnetic 2D materials and single-photon detection using a graphene Josephson junction calorimeter. Bevin’s current research revolves around improving superconducting hardware at the materials-level for fault-tolerant quantum computing.
