Roger is a computer scientist in the Center for Applied Scientific Computing (CASC) at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory. is research interests center around parallel and external memory graph algorithms and data-intensive computing. Before joining LLNL, Roger worked on sampling based motion planning algorithms for robotics applications. Roger joined LLNL in 2008 as a Lawrence Scholar working with Dr. Maya Gokahle, and joined CASC in 2013.

Roger received a Ph.D. in Computer Science form Texas A&M University in 2013, and a B.S. in Computer Engineering in 2004. He was a member of the Parasol Lab, under the guidance of Dr. Nancy Amato.
