Celeste Matarazzo is a data science expert with more than 24 years of service to the LLNL’s Computation Directorate. Since November 2008, she has served as a Principal Investigator within the Center for Applied Scientific Computing, leading a large LLNL funded strategic initiative research project in cyber security situational awareness. Celeste was previously a division leader who provided oversight and technical leadership for computer scientists and technicians addressing global security issues. She was also the project leader for the Advanced Simulation and Computing Program’s Scientific Data Management effort.
Celeste is a member of both ACM and IEEE and supports community outreach efforts to promote math and science. Celeste has a B.S. in Mathematics and Computer Science from Adelphi University and pursued her graduate studies at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
