Austin Linder is a dedicated laser technician with nearly 9 years of experience in the laser and optics industry. He earned an Associate of Applied Science degree in Laser and Electro-Optics Technology from Indian Hills Community College in 2016, where he developed a strong foundation in laser systems and optical technologies. He later enhanced his technical expertise by completing a Certificate in Vacuum Technology from Normandale Community College in 2023.

Austin began his career at Spectra-Physics, spending 5 years immersed in advanced laser systems and new product integration. During this time, he gained hands-on experience in laser alignment, optical system troubleshooting, and working with cutting-edge technologies. His time at Spectra-Physics allowed him to refine his skills and build a deep understanding of complex laser systems.

In 2021, Austin joined LLNL as a Senior Laser Electro-Optic Technologist at the Jupiter Laser Facility. In this role, he plays a key part in optimizing laser systems, troubleshooting technical challenges, and supporting daily operations to ensure experimental success. Austin works closely with scientists, engineers, and technical teams to innovate and improve experimental setups, and system optimization.
