Professional Background

Bella (Gabriella) is a Deputy group Leader in the High Performance Materials group. She is currently working to create materials and composites for operation at high temperatures and is the Principal Investigator for projects to fabricate and test these materials under extreme environments. Her background is in crystallography, inorganic synthesis, and material characterization, and she now primarily works on component fabrication and material property characterization. Her materials research includes expanding the application of materials fabricated via advanced manufacturing methods, including Direct Ink Write (DIW), spray drying, gel-casting, spark plasma sintering, and near-net shaped hot pressing.
