Dr. Hyojin Kim is a principal investigator and computer scientist in the Center for Applied Scientific Computing at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory. His research interests include a broad range of topics in computer vision and machine learning, with a particular focus on CT reconstruction, computational imaging, automatic object recognition, and AI-driven drug discovery. He earned his PhD in Computer Science from the University of California, Davis. He is currently leading a machine learning project that uses implicit neural representations to tackle the challenges of ill-posed CT reconstructions. Additionally, he is leading a drug discovery project that explores unsupervised machine learning techniques for analyzing large-scale, unlabeled protein-ligand data to advance virtual high-throughput screening.
