Jessica Jimenez is a control systems engineer, team leader of the Industrial & Safety Control Systems team within NIF&PS, and Group Leader of LSEO's  Safety Systems and Controls team. As a team leader, she oversees the engineering and operational support of the directorate’s personnel safety systems to ensure the safe integration and continuous operation of NIF&PS’s laser systems. She promotes engineering processes and ensures nuclear safety regulations are followed in the development of safety system’s software. Since joining NIF&PS in 2015, Jimenez has designed and deployed multiple industrial personnel safety, machine safety, and utility control systems in support of new directorate capabilities, and she has enhanced automation functionality of existing control systems.

Before joining LLNL, Jimenez worked as an automation engineer for the highly regulated life sciences industry and as an electrical engineer for a startup company where she acquired embedded controls and robot programming experience.
