Rose Hansen is communications director for the Physical and Life Sciences (PLS) directorate, a vital 1500-person organization that executes a wide variety of science and technology initiatives for the Lab, such as discovering new elements, modeling regional and global climate, and accelerating pharmaceutical development. In this role, she leads a team of editor/writers, web strategists, and designers who carry out wide-ranging internal and external communications projects, from newsletters, posters, and fact sheets to websites, videos, and event displays. Learning about the science, and figuring out how to creatively share it with a broad audience, is Rose's favorite part of the job.
