Laura Gutierrez is a Staff Scientist in the Materials Science Division at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory. Her research focuses on developing electrochemical flow reactors at the intersection of CO2 conversion and renewable electricity storage, and community outreach in the carbon management space. Laura has an interest in protecting the environment and creating a sustainable future. She received her B.S. in Environmental Engineering at the University of California San Diego while being heavily involved in the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE). She completed her M.S. in Civil and Environmental Engineering with a thesis at Northwestern University as a GEM Fellow sponsored by LLNL.
