Abel Gezahegne is a computer scientist at the Center for Applications Development and Software Engineering (CADSE), supporting the Sapphire project in CASC on large-scale scientific data mining. Some of his research interests include image processing, computational geometry and computer graphics.

Abel received an M.S. in Computer Science in 2005 and a B.S. in Computer Science and Engineering in 2002, both from the University of California at Davis.
