Research Interests

Hyunchae has conducted diamond anvil cell high pressure research for more than 30 years. During this time, he has studied phase stabilities; crystal structures; phase diagrams of molecular, ionic, and metallic alloys and compounds using Raman spectroscopy; infrared spectroscopy; and powder x-ray diffraction under high pressure and high temperature.

Ph.D., University of California, Los Angeles, 1992
