Dylan Copeland is a computational mathematician in the Center for Applied Scientific Computing (CASC) at LLNL. His current research interests include finite element methods, adaptive meshing, NURBS meshing, isogeometric analysis, and reduced order models. He is an active developer for the open-source software libraries MFEM and libROM.
Dylan earned his Ph.D. in mathematics from Texas A&M University in 2006, under the direction of Joe Pasciak. Before joining LLNL in 2018, he worked in the oil and gas industry for eight years, after two postdoctoral positions at Johannes Kepler University and Texas A&M University.
