Bor Chan is a computer scientist at CASC. His research interests include developing tools for parallel programming environments, optimizing codes written in HPF/message passing SMP directives for MPP platforms (e.g., T3D, Paragon, CM5, SP2, SGI, and DEC cluster).

Mr. Chan earned his M.S. in Computer Science at San Jose State University in 1987 and his M.S. in Civil Engineering from the University of Illinois, Urbana in 1980. Before coming to LLNL in 1987, he was an engineer at Bechtel Corp. and Nutech Corp. in the Bay Area. He is a member of the Tau Beta Pi engineering honor society.
