Current Position
Devin recently transferred to Target Fabrication to work as Process Engineer to create new processes and refine existing ones to improve both the quality and yield of NIF targets. This work involves data analysis, process development, and faulty target fabrication equipment troubleshooting.
Career Path
Devin joined LLNL in 2020 as a Material and Chemical Staff Scientist within the Tritium Facility where her work focused on operating, maintaining, and bringing up new equipment to analyze Tritium gas mixtures in support of NIF and DOD programs. During her time working in the Tritium Facility, she analyzed a tritium mixture via mass spectrometry that NIF used to reach ignition.
Research Interests
Since joining LLNL, most of Devin’s work has been focused on tritium science and instrumentation—mass spectrometry and calorimetry. She is also interested in process optimization, data analysis, and equipment design which she hopes to explore further in her new role within Target Fabrication.
