Barna Bihari is an applied mathematician at the Center for Applied Scientific Computing (CASC) at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory. His research interests and past activities include: high resolution (TVD and ENO) schemes; Euler and Navier-Stokes solvers on unstructured hybrid grids; multiscale acceleration methods; PDE-based image enhancement; parallel computing; adaptive gridding; and computational geometry. He is currently working on numerical methods for the Boltzmann transport equation.
Barna holds a Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics from UCLA, obtained in 1994. Prior to joining CASC in 2001, he was senior scientist at the Rockwell Science Center and at Hypercomp, Inc.
Barna works on these projects: Ardra.
