Teresa is an analytical chemist with expertise in trace metal analysis by inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP-MS). She has extensive experience with sample digestion techniques including microwave, hot plate, and flux digestions and has utilized single-quad, triple-quad, and high resolution ICP-MS instrumentation to analyze a variety of samples with complex matrices. Teresa joined the lab in 2020 as a postdoctoral researcher investigating plutonium migration at the Hanford Site using batch and column experiments. Prior to joining the lab, she worked as an analytical chemist in industry where she used a triple-quad ICP-MS to analyze consumer projects for trace metals. She received her PhD in Earth Sciences from the University of Notre Dame in 2019.
