Louisa is a Post Doctoral researcher working as a seismologist in the Geophysical Monitoring Program
(GMP) at LLNL. The focus of her work has been on characterizing and identifying seismic events in post
processing and near-real-time using the waveforms of initial seismic phase arrivals from regional and
teleseismic stations, their derivative products like radiated earthquake energy and rupture duration,
relative coda-derived moment magnitude calculations, and machine learning. The unique seismic events
she focuses on include global tsunamigenic earthquakes, tsunami earthquakes, deep earthquakes, and
underground nuclear explosions.
