Research Interests

Dr. Allen's research interests are in solid-state physics and structural inorganic chemistry, with particular emphasis on the study of actinide elements and their physical properties. He also has extensive experience in structural characterization techniques, including synchrotron-based x-ray absorption spectroscopy (XAS) and time-resolved spectroscopic methods. Dr. Allen's current research focuses on the thermodynamic and vibrational properties of actinide-based metals and alloys, along with the material dynamics of related systems.
