Bjorn Sjogreen is an applied mathematician working in the Applied Mathematics group in the Center for Applied Scientific Computing (CASC). His research interests include finite difference methods for the solution of partial differential equations, shock-capturing numerical schemes, and methods of high-order accuracy applied to the equations of compressible fluid flow, flows with combustion, and flows with magnetic fields (MHD).

Bjorn joined the Lab in 2004 and works on the WPP and SCIDAC projects. He earned a Ph.D. in Numerical Analysis from Uppsala University, Sweden (1988).
